Gold is one of the most important resources in Minecraft. You will need it to finally find the diamond and travel safely.
However, just like in real life, it is quite difficult to earn gold in Minecraft. Don't worry, there are many ways to buy gold, as long as you know where to look. Here are 10 ways to earn gold in Minecraft.
Main contents:
1. Kill Zombified Pigs
Zombified Piglings, formerly known as Zombie Pigmen, drop gold nuggets when killed, which can be crafted into a gold bar if you have nine of them.
While this is not the most efficient way to collect gold, it can be useful for a short time. To extract every drop of gold from killing Zombified Piglins, you need to be aware that they can also drop gold swords.
2. Tools, weapons and armor of molten gold
When melted in the furnace, gold items such as swords, axes, and chests will produce golden nuggets. Again, it's not the most effective method out there, but if you have some spare golden swords lying around you might as well sniff them as it doesn't look like any boon to combat.
3. Gold-plated black stone mining
It is well known that gilded black stone can be quarried to produce golden nuggets. It only spawns in Bastion Remnant, so it's not as good as regular mining, but since gold can be used to distract attacking Piglins, it can be a good way to escape.
However, gilded slate makes a great decorative piece, so it's probably better to save it for that if you don't need the gold urgently. Whatever you use it for, you're lucky to get your hands on this unique block of ore.

4. Nether Gold Ore Mining.
This is a more viable way to earn decent amounts of gold, especially if you're in the Nether for a long time. Nether is closely linked to gold, and ores can be found in vessels around the dimension.
When mined, gold ore in the Nether drops 2-6 gold nuggets by default, but this can go as high as 24 with a Fortune III pickaxe, so it's a great way to get nuggets high. If you see some gold ore next time you're exploring the Nether, stop and mine it - you might be surprised at how much gold you get.
5. Steal chests in structures
Gold can appear in chests in many Minecraft-generated structures, these are: Dungeons, Mine Shafts, Base Remnants, Buried Treasures, Shipwrecks, Last Cities, Dutch Forts, Desert, and Forest Temple, Ruins Gate, Stronghold, Forest Castle, and Village.

Coming across enough structures, you'll likely bring home a significant number of ingots. Be careful, though - many structures are filled with deadly inhabitants looking to protect their treasures.
6. Conquer the Ocean Ruins
Ocean Monument presents a late-game challenge to players - to defeat one, you'll need to fend off deadly Guardians while killing three Elder Guardians. If you succeed, you will bring back many rewards, including gold.
In addition to the rare prisms and sponges found around the Memorial, you'll be able to loot the treasure room - a large room at the back of the Monument - and leave it with eight gold blocks, making life easier. Monument raids turned out to be a pretty good way to get gold in bulk.
7. Just go mining
Simple mining can be a great way to earn shiny ingots, along with many other valuables. Gold ore produces blobs from 1-13, from Y levels -63 to 30 (0-32 before 1.18), so it can be found relatively quickly once you dig deep enough.
There are many ways to mine, so find the right one and embark on your own underground adventure. You will likely find a variety of not just gold, but diamonds, sapphires, red stones, and emeralds.
8. Ruins of Raiding Bastion
Gold is everywhere in the Nether, but nowhere is it more common than Bastion Remnant. These majestic structures make a lot of gold as part of their design: statues, treasures and even just part of the walls surrounding the building.
While the risk is high due to the dangerous Piglins, the rewards are spectacular - raiding just a few Bastions can land you lots of gold blocks. Considering a block of gold is worth nine gold bars, the spectacular payoff is worth it.
9. Mining in a Badlands biome
The badlands biome, formerly known as the mesa, has a few special properties. Abandoned dig shafts can be created at the surface level, allowing you to easily go into caves to go mining. Once you start exploring underground, you'll see gold everywhere.
Gold can be spawned at any Y level in the Badlands biome, and ore veins spawn ten times more often. Badlands are exceptionally rare biomes, but they are well worth traveling for because of the wealth they hold.
10. Raising Zombified Piglings
Going back to Zombified Piglings, there is a much more efficient way to mine gold from them. Build a farm high on the roof of the Nether and you'll have more gold than you could want.
The only limit to the rate at which you generate gold is the rate at which Zombified Piglins can spawn, so it's safe to say you'll be swimming in gold for a very long time.
